Rover field tests started
In October, we have started to conduct field tests to verify our rover concept - mobility and navigation. The first results were encouraging: the “wheg” (wheel+leg) concept worked well on smaller dunes and gentle slopes and hillsides. Not quite unexpectedly, we run into some troubles, however, on a steep hill with loose gravel and rocks using the first set of whegs. But we have several other designs to be tested, too.
