Maser 12 launch
The 13th of February at 9.32 UTC the MASER 12 Sounding Rocket was successfully launched from the SSC’s launching facility of Esrange, in Kiruna (Sweden).
MASER 12 reached an apogee of 260 km and the experiments on board spent 6 minutes in full microgravity. MASER 12 carried five ESA financed microgravity experiments dedicated to fluid, medicine and material science. As usual for Maser TSD was responsible for the on board video service module dedicated to the real time acquisition, compression, storage and transmission of scientific images from a number of experimental payloads. The data recovered provided full confidence of a great scientific success of the mission; congratulations to Swedish Space Corporation and to all other participant teams!
