Team Indus Q2 2012 Summary
Overview
The busiest quarter till date, and has been reasonably productive!
Technology
After several iterations & many delays we finally got agreement on the Rover design and completed procurement for the terrestrial version. We are now confident sometime in July we will have the first release of the Rover trying to find its way through our office.
Design considerations to the real design for the Lander structural sub-system is well on its way, will likely keep its date with a 2012 calendar year completion. Lander systems identification, specification including integration points has been initiated, expect first release to be ready by end of Q3 - a more detailed release likely Q4.
Automated navigation for the Rover is being developed by a separate team, with early versions expected to be in action by the end of Q3.
Team Announcements
We are excited to have recruited some great talent this quarter - Anubhav Thakur, Chiranjiv Singh, Guruditya Sinha & Nirmal Suraj join as full time team members.
Outreach
Summer interns, Moonbots teams all part of the outreach, learning, inspiration mix at work with Team Indus.
Great fun comparing notes with other teams at the Annual GLXP Summit 2012. While 23 teams trail the big 2, we can still chart a path to success for ourselves.
We finally crossed 10k followers on Facebook, thats the kind of support we need to keep ourselves going. Come out and support our team - http://www.facebook.com/teamindus.in
