Interorbital Systems Launch Site

From Interorbital Systems's CEO, Randa Milliron: Since 2001, Interorbital Systems has been working on setting up a private spaceport in the South Pacific . We plan to use a location in Tonga to conduct our Google Lunar X PRIZE flights. Interorbital has the Kingdom's full support for setting up our mobile spaceport on the island of 'Eua, at the southeast end of the Tonga island chain at approximately 21.4 degrees south latitude---perfectly positioned for a Moon launch. Tongan officials and Interorbital Systems have already met with the AST about our plan. We will fly under US license and ship the components from Interorbital Systems in LA to Interorbital Systems in Tonga. No other parties involved, eliminating any insurmountable ITAR issues. Since our rockets are modular, they can be shipped by container, and land-launched V-2-style from a mobile launch system. This opens many new possibilities and will speed our entire program.
