CPM TV Pre-Launch Test Phase Begins
Interorbital Systems has successfully completed lift tests of its Common Propulsion Module Test Vehicle with its CPM Mobile Launch System (MLS). The MLS allows single CPMs to be transported to and launched from virtually any geographical location on the planet.
A single full-performance CPM (the CPM SR145) can also serve as a sounding rocket capable of carrying a 145 kg payload to 310 km.
The rocket engine is scheduled for test firings over the next few weeks, followed by a test flight of this rocket.
After a series of test flights, 7 of these will be built and clustered to form the Neptune 45, for the first IOS launch of microsats into low earth orbit (a mix of TubeSats and CubeSats). Comments powered by RealTidBits and Echo
