Navigation
Did you know that a spacecraft uses three coordinate systems on the trip to the Moon? The first system is based on Earth navigation, so your location is determined relative to Earth. Once you get further away, it makes no sense to say that you are "Over Croatia" because the whole planet is so far away. You have to track your flightpath according celestial system, knowing your position within the solar system. Thirdly, when you approach the lunar surface, you have to navigate within a lunar coordinate system, to enable you to land at the right spot. All of this and more is being prepared by our Technical sector team members.
