Selenokhod Rover Update: Walking robot design
Our presentation begins with this short video showing the latest
version of the Selenokhod walking robot from various angles. This
design is subject to change.

Our current design is based on the Soviet Prop-M Rover
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_3#Prop-M_Rover) design which we
will discuss in greater detail in later posts. We have added a
rotation device / pivot point to the base of the robot's body, along
with modern metal and composite materials as well as state-of-the-art
electronics.
As you view the Selenokhod's components below, note the internal
aluminum body in particular which redistributes heat evenly
throughout the robot's entire body.
