PTS@ILA2010 - a picasa picture story

We're proud to say that our participation in this year's ILA Berlin Air Show has been a great success for us as well as for our partners. We mainly owe it to them that we were in the position to present our latest technical developments to no less than around 235,000 trade visitors and members of the general public.

Quite an eye catcher at our booth was our current rover prototype Asimov Jr. R2. He drew a lot of attention from both visitors and exhibitors, thus making it possible for us to familiarize them with our project and the various forms of cooperation with our partners. Everyone was amazed at how fast we're proceeding despite a yet humble budget. In numerous talks on the different fields of our moon mission we managed to win over fans and experts alike and could strengthen our position as one of the handful of teams who actually have a chance of winning the Google Lunar X-Prize.

Peter Hintze visits the Part-Time Scientists Team

Accordingly, it was no surprise that even Peter Hintze, Federal Government Coordinator of German Aerospace Policy, visited us to inquire about the state of our project. Also, there were visitors who spontaneously decided to join us and help us with their expertise. We expect that our team of about 55 dedicated people could double its members in the next months to come. This will be all the more helpful, given that the German Aerospace Center (DLR) agreed to cooperate with us on some smaller projects. We look forward to a promising second half of 2010!
