EARTHRISE SPACE INC. HOSTS OPEN HOUSE

ORLANDO, FLA. (Sept. 27, 2012) - Omega Envoy, the Florida team competing in the Google Lunar X PRIZE (GLXP), and its parent company, Earthrise Space Inc. (ESI) are extremely proud to announce that they will be hosting an Open House on Oct. 12, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. EDT. The event is open to the public and will be held at ESI’s headquarters located in Research Park at the University of Central Florida’s campus in Orlando, FL.

This event will have a little something for everyone. There will be a number of interactive displays that highlight the progress the Omega Envoy team has made toward producing a rover to traverse the lunar surface and the spacecraft that will deliver it to the Moon.

With two press conferences to inform the media and interactive displays and experts to inform and inspire the curiosity of the public, this open house will excite the space enthusiast in everyone.

Guests will be able to tour much of ESI’s facilities including the clean room where the flight hardware will be prepared for its upcoming launch, the tilt table where the rover’s mobility will be tested out with lunar simulant and the equipment which is used to machine components for both the spacecraft and rover.

Snacks and refreshments will be available and guests can enter to win prizes that will include T-Shirts and a grand prize of a model of the Omega Envoy rover.

“ESI has made tremendous progress in its efforts to win the Google Lunar X PRIZE and we want to share our success with the world,” said ESI’s Chief Operating Officer Joseph E. Palaia IV. “We have a huge announcement to make and this was the optimal way to make it!”
