Stanford on the Moon 2012

Palo Alto, CA (Oct. 7th 2012) - During Stanford's Alumni Reunion Weekend, 'Stanford on the Moon' founder/benefactor Steve Durst, also a Moon Express shareholder and customer, organized the Second annual “Meet The New Generation Of Lunar Explorers!” event in which Google Lunar X PRIZE teams came together to summarize their work thus far towards getting to the Moon and capturing part of the competition's $30M prize purse. Moon Express along with five other Google Lunar X PRIZE teams gave short presentations in the Cemex Auditorium of Stanford's Graduate School of Business.

Bob's presentation covered the people, resources, and technology that make up Moon Express and with his closing remarks he made the Stanford students in the audience an offer they couldn't refuse.
After the presentations the presenters and audience members enjoyed refreshments where they were engaged by the bright minds of both current and returning Stanford students.  In particular the Student Spaceflight Initiative who are interested in creating avenues for Stanford students to work in the space industry came out in numbers, full of questions and ideas for theGoogle Lunar X PRIZE teams.
