Moffett Field, CA (Oct. 5th 2012) Moon Express is excited to be featured in an upcoming BBC Science documentary by Horizon Films about Inventions and Inventors, airing in early 2013.  The BBC film crew travelled from England to capture interviews with Moon Express Co-Founder & CEO Bob Richards and technology insights from Project Engineer Mike Vergalla.

Following a morning of storyboarding and scouting shoot locations, the crew was given unique access to some of Moon Express’ strategic technology developments.

Mike Vergalla discussed the Moon Express work on quad copter drone test systems, a rapid prototyping strategy for lander software development.

The film crew also took advantage of the iconic NASA Ames landmarks of Hangar One and the P3 turboprop anti-submarine aircraft for some of the interviews, which concluded the next day with a (very) early sunrise interview with Bob Richards at his mountaintop home, “Villa Luna”, overlooking Silicon Valley.
