Voyager 1 on the Edge of The Final Frontier
The Earth probe, Voyager 1, was originally launched in 1977, to explore the planets of our system and beyond, is now approaching the furthest edge or our solar system! Readings from the probe now suggest it is reaching the edge of the heliosphere, which is the furthest reach of the magnetic field of our own Sun. Beyond this, is the vastness of interstellar space! After more than 30 years, the probe continues to function and send back new readings. Scientists anticipate seeing the edge of the helosphere very soon now, and are excited about the new things Voyager 1 will start to see.
"A NASA space probe launched in 1977 is about to become the first manmade object to travel beyond the solar system, scientists report.
