AWIP – ATmega Wireless Inertial Platform
The Picorover component assembly tested on the balloon flight last weekend is called AWIP – ATmega Wireless Inertial Platform. This is the MCU of the PicoRover based on the ATmega168, an internal inertial platform and the Nordic transceiver in the frequency 2.45 GHz band.
As a side note we can inform that a model of the Picorover has been shipped from Spain to the US for display purposes. Our local PA manager, Spunky, inspected it and found that it exceeds all specifications. He then curled up next to it, purred and took a nap.
