I'm happy to report that our illustrious team leader Steve Allen has got back in touch with us. A couple of weeks ago I blogged about him disappearing and defecting to team Synergy Moon. Well, now I know that wasn't the case.

As you could read on The Launch Pad earlier today, Monroe of Team Prometheus (N-Prize) is building a lunar lander mock-up for us based on our current design baseline. Needless to say, we are truly grateful for this help. Here are some photos of the mock-up work in progress.
November 22, 2009 - by A CubeSat mission idea
Team Euroluna plans to launch a CubeSat next year and we have the same plan. While our fellows want to use the launch to test their command module, we are more interested in a unique experiment. Here is a first idea:
Well everyone, the contest to name our rover has come to an end and we are so happy to announce that the name of our rover is in commemoration of the late Carl Sagan, a true inspiration to our team and probably most of you. the best part about the contest was that we left it up to all of you to decide the winner, and in the end 143 people voted! You can read a blog post on the Launch Pad about the announcement.
I just got sent this photo from an anonymous source who said it was taken over the weekend. It shows Steve Allen, our Team Leader, standing alonside the chief artist of the Synergy Moon GLXP team, Anna Hill.

The launch of Helen rocket is set for Nov. 14. The launch operations will start at 10:00 local time. According to the latest weather forecast for the launch location (Black Sea), the wind speed will be only 8 km/h, cloud cover 0%, air temperature 11º (max). The whole launch team together with several journalists are already at the launch location. Final preparations are underway. There will be a live webcast at www.realitatea.net/arca and live TV transmission at Realitatea TV.

Dear space explorers and enthusiasts of Moon exploration, From this moment we start regular posting of Selenokhod team news here. Actually we had busy times during these two months after the official team announcement, setting up the processes in the team and working out the basic technical structure of the project. Nevertheless we managed to participate in several outstanding events in Russia which gave us some footage in mass media.
