Social "Which events are you attending in 2011 next?"

PITTSBURGH, PA – March 3, 2011 – Astrobotic Technology Inc. today released a new guide for researchers on preparation of their instruments for the company’s robotic expedition to the surface of the Moon. The expedition, based on technology from Carnegie Mellon University, will carry up to 240 pounds of science, engineering, and marketing payloads. Any university, government agency or company is eligible to purchase payload accommodations on the December 2013 flight.

ARCA team just finished the work to the composite materials cabin negative mold for the E-111 supersonic airplane for the Google Lunar X Prize.

The Rocket City Space Pioneers (RCSP) team has presented a new design challenge to students at the Huntsville Center for Technology (HCT). The task involves exploring concepts for lander leg and foot designs. I met with HCT students and their Computer Aided Design (CAD) instructor, Mike Evans, and provided performance requirements were provided to the students and reviewed their early design concepts. The design of the lander’s legs and feet are shaped by a number of constraints. These include:

In this blog post we would like to address the questions and comments received since the announcement of Mystical Moon. Please realize that we are a “Mystery Team” and, as such, all names including the team name, leader, craft name and signatories to the team blog posts are all aliases. Thereby, the craft’s name is not 'Black Magic'. However, in all fairness, we promised to address your questions and comments to help you better understand our team’s vision, mission and objectives (and so we shall).
