Third prototype gains components on way to first movements
The team has added key components to the third prototype's interior, readying it for the first roll this week.
The view above shows the rover interior with an IMU (inertial measurement unit) installed at the base of the camera mast, and the two small silvery motors and their larger golden yellow gear housings on either side. Just below the two motors are pieces representing the two black thermal straps that will be under the I-beams of the radiator show in the next image.
This image show the underside of the radiator with the rover's electronic components attached. The two black vertical strips are the bases of the composite I-beams that link the radiator to the floor of the rover.
