ARCA and SIAD Romania became partners in the Romanian Space Program. SIAD Romania will provide over the coming years liquid oxygen for the Executor rocket engine, the "heart" of the entire ARCA Space Program. This engine will propel the IAR-111 supersonic aircraft, the Haas 2 and the Super Haas rockets. SIAD Romania will also provide ARCA with liquid oxygen systems and with the expertise required to deploy and operate these facilities.

ARCA has produced a video promoting the Romanian Space Program. The program, designed for the period 2012-2025, aims to send a romanian cosmonaut into Earth orbit and bring him back safely. The program is built around the Executor engine, which will propel the IAR-111 supersonic aircraft, the suborbital rocket Haas 2B and the orbital rockets Haas 2 and Super Haas.

The technical creation center for youth ( inventeaza.ro ) - robotics and software center is the new partner of ARCA for the lunar probe project entered in the astronautics competition Google Lunar X Prize.
The partnership means working together to develop the European Lunar Explorer probe (ELE), the European Lunar Lander lunar module and the carrier rocket.

ARCA tested the kerosene tank for the IAR-111 Excelsior supersonic airplane and for the Haas 2 orbital rocket. The test was a destructive one, the team presurising the tank beyond its strength limit.

The tank walls are so thin that the tank must be maintained at an internal pressure of 0.5 atmospheres, even during storage. If the pressure were removed from the tank, it would collapse under its own weight. The ratio of structure mass / fuel mass / pressure is 0.00082, the best ever in aerospace industry.

The League of Romanian Students Abroad (LSRS) is the new partner of ARCA, in the Romanian race to conquer space.

LSRS wants to promote the program among the Romanian students and graduates abroad and send the message that as long as the the necessary will exists, the projects that can raise Romania are possible in our country even despite limited resources.

The iQuest company is sponsoring ARCA program of the first Romanian supersonic airplane, IAR 111 Excelsior, participanting in the competition of astronautics Google Lunar X Prize.

ARCA finished work on the combustion chamber and nozzle of the first Executor engine for the IAR-111 Excelsior supersonic plane and the Haas II orbital rocket.
The structure is made of two main layers: an internal layer for thermal protection made of silica fiber and epoxy resin, and an external layer for structural resistance made of carbon fiber and epoxy resin

The thermal protection of the Executor engine is finished in order to prepare the application of the external structure.
