The propulsion team starts small scale tests of the Xone motor

The propulsion team at the Universidad de Concepción has been working in the development of the Xone motor since several months ago, with its first small scale tests recently started. These tests are performed in order to study the corrections that need to be fulfilled in order to work with the mathematical model that will better approach the real motor.

In order to perform these tests, our team designed and built a test-bank that will allow us to collect the data of the relevant parameters for a motor rocket such as the internal gas pressure and the thrust this generates.

Below, a picture showing the calibration of sensors, in which a small test was performed with a small motor used for low atmosphere studies:
