On July 11th, Dominique and I visited Coppin State University (CSU), one of several JURBAN university parters and one of many Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in the U.S.

CSU is one of Five HBCUs in Maryland, and all five have expressed interest in partnering with the JURBAN team on this challenge to increase proficiency competitivness in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) research and job skills. CSU is located in Baltimore, MD and has been awared a STEM grant from the National Science Foundation.

On July 11th, we discussed a strategy to get students excited about STEM through this challenge and the research experiences that students can gain through this collaboration.

We will finalize our collaboration strategy by the end of this month, and I will keep you informed of our approach.
