In 1999, King of, Shai Traditional Area Drolor Bosso Adamtey I, Founder and Chairman of Life for Africa, Inc. initiated the beginning of an ultra modern African technology park, which was the focus of the discussions at the African Technology Conference in Accra, Ghana.
The King and others such as IBM, Microsoft, various Universities around the world and the JURBAN team who attended believe this initiative will enhance the economic infrastructure and technological boom in this region. The Ghana African Technology Park is being developed similar to the renowned Silicon Valley in the United States, which develops technical and business talent that fuels the US economy.
While at the conference, I expressed my excitement about the Google Lunar X PRIZE and the mission to the moon. Students who attended the conference were equally excited and were lined up to sign up to apply their skills in mathematics, computer science, engineering, business, etc.
In talking about world leadership and titles, Prince Phillips, Duke of Edinburgh, arrived in Accra, Ghana at the same hotel in which King Adamtey held the African Technology Conference. Unfortunately, I could not did not get a picture.
