The width of the camera head is determined by spread of the stereo pair. The depth of the camera head is determined by length of the telephoto zoom lens.
That's a nice looking design. You mentioned you're using two of the cameras for 3D vision. Are you using the 3rd to augment the 3D data? Will you have a laser you can use to probe shadow areas to complete the 3D map?
