Time to test out the new forum!
I am very excited about this, because there have been so few places of discussion for us die-hard fans of the GLXP.
So let's begin:
Which team do you believe is in the lead technologically right now/do you expect to be winning at this point?
The race has been on for a few years now and it seems like a few teams have pulled ahead of the pack.
The Evadot scoreboard is one interpretation, but it seems to leave out some VERY crucial aspects of the teams' progress.
(ie. Placing Team Space IL, who hasn't updated the calendar on their website in a year, ahead of Team ARCA, who have built an entire jet fuselage from scratch and are already testing their rockets/fuel tanks)
My personal observations are:
1. Astrobotic: a clear leader in my eyes. They have finished a lander, a rover, AND have the flight space booked on a Falcon 9 already.
2. ARCA: these guys are the little engine that COULD. Their launch plan is solid and, frankly, I'm immensely impressed that they're managing to keep up with the other front-runners given that they are making a supersonic jet plane, a rocket, a lander, AND their rover/Everlasting Gob Stopper (look at the picture; I bet you thought it too!), all from SCRATCH.
3. Moon express/Part-time Scientists: Moon express talks a big game, and they appear to have the funds and tech to back it up, but Part-Time Scientists have a great little rover, and seem VERY interested in winning this thing.
SO WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

I can't be the only one who has wondered about what would happen if a neck-and-neck landing occurred in the next few years?
ie. Would the Indus Rover, Asimov or Red Rover be the better instrument to land, given their respective cameras and whatnot? Which team's drop out surprised you the most? Which Team would you like to see update their page more? (I mean, it is almost September and there are "official" teams that haven't dropped us an update in months!)

I'm the technical program manager of the JURBAN Google Lunar X PRIZE team.
I think JURBAN has the best architecture and best business plan, we just need to do a better job raising money and focusing our all student team. However if I had to vote for a second team, I would put my money on Moon Express. With their small, standardized lander that doesn't use wheels (like us).

ARCA on my opinion, i believe they did the first counter strike 1.6 cheats on 2002 .
I agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.
