The past Saturday (Feb 23) I was lucky enough to be a guest on the popular space-centric online show "Spacevidcast" along with my co-worker and Moonpie eating silver-medalist, Nathan Wong. Benjamin Higginbotham and co-host Cariann Higginbotham are two space enthusiasts driven to spreading the message of space across the web and decided that Nathan and I were cool enough to join their quest and share what the Google Lunar X PRIZE is all about.

Want to win stuff? Watch this... Basically, The Google Lunar X PRIZE team Part Time Scientists have reached 100k friends on Facebook. That's quite the little get together. In honor of this (and because we want to be cool enough to sit at their table at lunch) we are hosting a little contest to see if we can boost our numbers up a bit and join the big kids club.

It's time for my first blog post and I figure the best way to start things off is by introducing myself. Hello, my name is Leo Camacho and, for all intents and purposes, I am the new online social community manager for Google Lunar X PRIZE. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have this position and I come into it knowing full well that I have some pretty massive shoes to fill... metaphorically of course. My predecessor, Amanda Stiles, is rather tiny and therefore has equally tiny shoes.
